Inventory Change Requests

Users with Enter rights to Inventory Home can request changes to posted inventory quantities by requesting a change. This process will allows users to change the posted quantity on inventory to then be approved by any user given change approval rights via Inventory Change Request Approval - V5.

  • Approving change requests will update the inventory status from Submitted to Finalized.
  • All change requests should be submitted and approved prior to reviewing Cost of Goods sold for the week to ensure accurate reporting. 

Request Change

  • To submit an Inventory Request Change, navigate to  Operations > Inventory > Inventory Home > Inventory History tab.
  • Right-click on the inventory date that you want to change, then select Request Change.

  • Search for items using the search or navigate between inventory locations listed on the left. 

  • Enter new quantity in the New Qty field
  • Select a reason from the Reason drown down list.
  • Enter a comment for the change

Select Request Changes button to submit changes.     


  • Once requested you will receive  an alert that changes have been submitted.
  • Select Done to confirm changes
  • Select Back to go back and make additional changes. If you select back but do not make additional changes the request change button will not be enabled. Selecting cancel after not making any changes will not make any changes and will preserve the original changes requested.

Approving change requests will update the inventory status from Submitted to Finalized.

Changes will need to then be approved or denied by a designated user in your organization with access to Inventory Change Request Approval - V5.
