How do I add and manage Manual Receives with Tax?
This article shows admins now to enable tracking on taxes for manual orders and invoices.
Enabling Tax Tracking for Orders and Invoices
Navigate to Maintenance > General > PPC Maintenance
Click the Accounts tab.
Click Edit to edit an existing account or click New.
If only editing, click the Tax box and Save.
Enter the Account Name.
Enter the Account Number if needed for Accounting exports.
The Active box should automatically be checked. Do not uncheck.
Check the Paid Out box if applicable.
Check the Tax box.
Click Save.
Assign Sales Tax Account to Vendors
Navigate to Maintenance > General > PPC Maintenance
Click the Vendor Accounts tab.
Select a Vendor from the dropdown.
Click on the account with the enabled Sales Tax from the Available Accounts box.
Click the Right Arrow.
This will move the account to the Assigned Accounts box.
Currently, Decision Logic only supports 1 tax account per vendor.
Manually Receive Orders With Sales Tax Enabled
Operations > Direct Order Entry > Ordering Home
Select the Company, Region, Group, and Store.
Click the Enter Manual Receive tab.
Select Receive from Order Guide as the Receive Method.
Select the Distributor from the dropdown.
Click Next.
Enter the Received Date.
Enter the Invoice #.
Check the Create Invoice box.
Select the Invoice Type, typically a regular invoice.
It is not necessary to select Vendor to apply a cost since that will be inherited from the PPC Vendor mapped to the Distributor in Distributors Maintenance.
Enter Invoice Total (Pre Tax) Amount.
Enter the Tax amount listed on the invoice.
Select Next to proceed to the Order Guide
Enter quantity of items Received for each line item.
Select Next or a different location from the drop-down to add more items
Items will display in the Location and order which are set under Ordering Home > Guide Set Up.
Click Review.
Click Post Received.
Review the Invoice
Navigate to Operations > Purchases > Invoice History
Select the Company, Region, Area, and Store.
Select the Date Range.
Select Invoice Date or Enter Date.
Click Go.
Click View.
The invoice will display with Sales Tax amount
Export the Invoice
Users can export invoices in two locations inside Decision Logic’s platform: Invoice History or PPC Invoices.
