Where can I track & view changes to inventories?

This article shows where users can view tracking changes to inventories in Decision Logic’s platform.

Overview

The inventory change tracking feature gives managers and above-store managers insight into who requests changes, how often requests are, and why inventory counts are being changed.

Users can view inventory changes in the Inventory Change Tracking feature. Only requests submitted to change a posted inventory will appear on the Inventory Change Tracking feature.  Inventories edited or opened by an above-store-level manager will not appear.

 

Decision Logic's best practice is to submit a request for inventory changes so they can be tracked.

  • Contact your Decision Logic Administrator to make Scope and Security adjustments to your user profile or add new features.

  • Some pages are client-specific.

View Changes

Follow the steps below to quickly view inventory changes from users who have submitted a change request to posted inventories.

Navigate to:

Operations > Inventory > Inventory Change Tracking

 

  1. Select the Company, Region, Area, and Store.

  2. Define the Date Range.

  3. Select either Store or Product filter from the dropdown.

  4. Click Apply.

     

  5. Click the Store link.

 

Users can view the following:

  • Inventory date.

  • Product name.

  • Previously entered quantity.

  • Requested (updated) quantity.

  • Reason for the request.

  • Additional notes.

  • User name.

  • Who authorized the approval or denial.

  • Authorization date.

  • Status of each item requesting the change.

  • Total of previous and requested quantities.
