How do I create Broadcast Messages that appear on the Employee Central mobile app?

This article shows managers how to create broadcast messages that appear on the Employee Central mobile application.

Overview

Broadcast Messages appear when an employee logs on each time during the time frame managers define. Each time the employee logs in to the Employee Central mobile app, any scheduled messages will appear until they dismiss it.

Managers need “Change” permissions to Broadcast on their profile to create broadcast messages.

All Broadcast Messages will appear in the Activity History within the All tab on the Employee Central mobile app. Employees are able to review those past messages. Managers are unable to restrict which employees see the broadcast message. All employees with access to the Employee Central mobile app will see the messages from the store(s) they are assigned to.

Broadcast Messages can be scheduled for a single day or multiple days and as a one-time message or an acknowledgment. Additionally, messages can be sent to a single store, all stores, or a selected group of stores.

Some great uses of Broadcast Messages are:

  • Limited Time Offer details.

  • Contest details.

  • Policy or procedural changes.

  • Changes or elimination of menu items and recipes.

  • Days a store may be closed.

  • General communication.
