on the computer or on the go with mobile.

at any time.

Step-by-step guide

Find the new Waste Sheet

From the site menu, navigate to . In addition, the Waste Sheet entry log displays all past recorded waste entries for the store selected.

Enter Waste Sheet

Using a web browser, log in to Decision Logic’s platform and navigate to:

Operations > Waste Sheet > Waste Sheet

  1. Select a Store.

Waste Sheet Entry Log

You'll see the Waste Sheet entry log. This page displays all past recorded waste entries for your default store. If you have access to multiple stores in Decision Logic, you will see a live dropdown. To change stores, use the selector on the top right. (warning) Note, please change store before selecting "Add Waste" to add waste for the right store.

Add new waste record

To add a new entry, select " Add Waste "

Fill out the fields for the wasted item.

DateThe date field will be automatically filled with today's date, you can update this to the date on which the waste occurred.Ingredient or Menu ItemWaste can be entered in two different ways.Item NameSelect either Ingredient or Menu Item and the Item Name list will automatically populate with the list for that item type.QuantityEnter the quantity wasted.MeasureSelect the correct measure appropriate to the item. The Measure field will list 1-2 measures which are associated with the Item.ReasonThe reason that the waste occurred. More Reasons to come in future versions!CommentsAdd a short comment with the entry.

  1. Click + Waste.

  2. Select the Date the waste occurred.

  3. Select the Type.

    1. Ingredient: Individual ingredients, such as bacon or lettuce.

    2. Menu Item: Menu Item listed on the menu, such as Kid Burger or Southwest Salad. This includes all ingredients used to build the menu item.

  4. Search for an Ingredient or Menu Item based on your selection from the step above.

    1. Assigned Only: Toggle is turned on by default for Ingredient Type. It does not display for Menu Item Type.

      1. Toggle On: The list of ingredients assigned to an /wiki/spaces/DCKBA/pages/581108225 mapped to the store selected. If an item is not on an Inventory Set for the store, it will not be shown.

      2. Toggle Off: Turning the toggle off will show all items.

  5. Enter the Quantity wasted.

  6. Select a Measure. If an item is mapped with multiple measurement units, options will display in the dropdown.

  7. Select a Reason from the dropdown.

  8. Enter Comments.

  9. Click Save.

    1. Click Remove Waste or Cancel to cancel the waste sheet entry. Once an ingredient or menu item is saved, it cannot be removed. It can only be edited.

Entering ingredients or menu items will appear on the store’s Waste Sheet Entry page and Waste Sheet Reasons report.

Edit Waste Sheet Entry

Using a web browser, log in to Decision Logic’s platform and navigate to:

Operations > Waste Sheet > Waste Sheet

  1. Select a Store.

  2. Click the Pencil Icon to edit.

  3. Make your updates.

  4. Click Save.
