This article shows users with Maintenance Access permissions how to create inventory guide locations.

Overview

Users will create inventory guide locations that will appear on all store’s inventory guides. Common locations are:

  • Walk-in Cooler

  • Freezer

  • Dry Storage

  • Kitchen or Cook Line

  • Prep Area

  • Chemical

Making an edit or deleting a location appears on each store’s inventory guide. Locations cannot be deleted if at least one ingredient or one item is assigned to the location. Ingredients or items are added to locations when managers sort their inventory guide from sheet to shelf for V6 and V5.

Add Location

Users can create, or add, a location by navigating to:

Maintenance > Product > Manage Inventory Locations

Location: The name of the location created.

Store Count: The number of items assigned to that location.

Edit: Edit the location name.

Delete: Delete the location if there are zero items assigned.

  1. Click + Location.

  2. Type the Location Name.

  3. Click Save.

Users will assign items to the location from the Inventory Guide tab inside the Inventory Home page.

Edit or Delete Location

Users can create, or add, a location by navigating to:

Maintenance > Product > Manage Inventory Locations

Location: The name of the location created.

Store Count: The number of items assigned to that location.

Edit: Edit the location name.

Delete: Delete the location if there are zero items assigned.

  1. Click Edit.

    1. Click Delete to delete a location. Locations cannot be deleted if at least one ingredient or one item is assigned to the location.

  2. Update the Location’s Name.

  3. Click Save.

Locations cannot be deleted if at least one ingredient or one item is assigned to the location. Any changes made are visible to all stores.
