New Store Onboarding - Quick Reference Hunger Rush Guide

Install UDT Client Application

This step can be completed by your Decision Logic Administrator, POINT OF SALE administrator, or your company’s IT support.

Universal Data Transfer (UDT) Install

Configure Hunger Rush to Auto-Generate XML Files

In Hunger Rush, navigate

  • Management

    • Reports

      • Report Packages

        • FTP Tab

Check the box next to “Auto Upload at close of day”.

This will ensure that Hunger Rush is generating the file needed by the UDT app when Hunger Rush “Close Day” procedure is followed daily.

Generate Hunger Rush XML files for previous days

In Hunger Rush, navigate

  • Management

    • Reports

      • Report Packages

        • FTP Tab

Choose the Date you want to generate a file for.

Click Generate File.

Validate the Hunger Rush XML files Generated

On your computer navigate to the C Drive

  • C:\Revention\Export\

    • The file names include the date so you should see one for each date you are expecting to see data.

    • You will also want to confirm that those files are not empty and contain information.

If this is not occurring you will want to reach out to Hunger Rush Support to resolve why those files are not transferring into the FTP or do not include the data that is expected before moving on to the next step.

Run UDT for previous days

Open the UDTServerApp

  • If there is not a shortcut available readily, the default directory is
    C:\program files\knowledge management systems\udt client

Select a run date from the dropdown.

Click Process Now.

This will transfer the data in the Hunger Rush XML files for

  • 3 days of historical Journal data

    • Journal data consists of sales, comps, discounts, and payments.

  • 7 days of historical labor data.

    • Labor data consists of summary labor hours.

Validate Data Transfer

The UDT app’s Process Log will indicate if the send was successful.

In your mydlweb.com/YourCompanyName site, navigate

  • Operations

    • End of Day

      • End of Day

Choose the store and date

Confirm that all of the expected sections have the expected data.

Troubleshooting

If all of the above steps are followed and you are not seeing the expected data, you can contact

  1. Hunger Rush Support

  2. Your Decision Logic Administrator

  3. Decision Logic Service Center

You can request that Hunger Rush Support ensure that

  • Your store is assigned to the appropriate Hunger Rush Menu Set (Menu Mix or Ideal Usage is missing in Decision Logic)

  • Your store has the correct XML file generation configurations (some sections of data are missing in Decision Logic End of Day)
